Banks TorqueTube is a streamlined exhaust manifold designed to optimize exhaust flow and engine efficiency. Because the stock manifold's flange does not align squarely with the ports, flow is restricted. TorqueTube corrects the problem with a half-inch flange that is machined dead flat, and precisely fitted to the port pattern. You can hear the difference in the plusher, healthier exhaust note. Unlike the stock, failure-prone exhaust manifold, Banks TorqueTube is built of heavy, 409 stainless steel to weather a lifetime of heat, stress and abuse. The flange, welded to the tube assembly on both sides, will never crack or separate. The gasket is made of SMI 900, a material that stands up to super-hot temperatures. Bolts right on!
This solves a problem I had and adds a little pop. Price wise it was about the same as another exhaust manifold.
Good quality and very Easy to install with easy to understand directions.
Quality fabrication, easy install and definite notice in acceleration! Adding Monster Exhaust w/ Banks Intake SOON! BEST HEADER ON THE MARKET AT VERY COMPETITIVE PRICE!
Product fits great all holes line up bolts right up to stock exhuast
You can feel your money working for you. These headers are well worth the money.
I put these on my Jeep about a year ago and have been happy ever since. I love the power that they give and the sound. I have the Banks headers installed along with the exhaust and intake from Banks. You can not go wrong with Banks. Not one bit. [...]
I put these on my 04 gmc sierra 1500, with banks intake monster exhaust, superchip, throttle bottle spacer, mass airflow sensor, and royal purple in everything and these headers brought life to my exhaust. Makes a deep throaty sound, it unleashed a lot of low end torque from idle to 2000 rpm is most noticeable.
Installed the Banks Cold Air Intake about 4 months ago. I saw a slight improvement in MPG but needed to improve throttle response, so this week I installed the Banks Torque Tubes and Banks Monster exhaust. Installation time was roughly 4 hours with a bit of knuckle busting, about what I expected. The exhaust note is noticeably deeper and sounds good going up through the RPM's. Using my "seat of the pants" Dyno testing, the HP and torque are noticeably better especially on acceleration and I'm downshifting less often on hills. Next I intend to get the Autominder Programmer to be able to adjust the performance for off-road or highway requirements
Q: Are this headers ceramic coated? Answer this question
A: Made from super-durable, mandrel-bent 409 stainless steel tubing and sporting a 1/2"-thick precision ported and machined flange. Powering through the roughest terrain is no longer a question. Not Ceramic Coated.

Q: Does this manifold come with a CARB aproved sticker for smog station reviews. Answer this question
A: Hello Chris, I reached out to Banks and YES this Exhaust Header System GBE51316 will come with CARB approved stickers. If by chance it does not have them we can help to get replacement stickers, 877-474-4821. Banks recommends that you stick them on the cross-members by your radiator so the SMOG shop operator can see them. Thanks for checking us out.

Q: Does this product sit flush on the engine or do I have to resurface it? Do all holes align with the engine's holes? Will it work with stock exhaust or do I have to upgrade my exhaust as well (eventually I will upgrade)? Answer this question
A: Hello Manny, The Banks Power Torque Tube Exhaust Header will bolt in place of your factory manifold. Everything will line right up and it will use your factory head pipe. You factory exhaust will work fine as well. Thanks for the inquiry.
